Poppies for miles ♡

Sunday, May 29th, 2016

Me and Lyy woke up pretty late due to talking and staying up late as usual. Then, we woke up and talked some more. Eventually, we made it to Minano's poppy fields!

It is common to take a shuttle/bus there, but since it was late the hours were more scarce and we didn't want to have to stay at the poppy fields for 2 hours. So we decided to try our luck and go by car.

Even though it was a bit crowded it wasn't as bad as I though. We actually found parking pretty easily by chance on the side of the mountain before we got up too high. The entrance fee was only 200 yen and we went to enjoy the poppies.

It was already close to the end of the season, so the peak ended but it was still a gorgeous view. The poppies looked better in videos than pictures because you could see them swaying delicately in the wind.

There was also Chichibu taiko players, which was nice background sound. There wasn't much food, besides three stalls and though me and Lyy were hungry we didn't want to wait in the long lines for まあまあ food.

So after enjoying the poppies we left to go eat and then take Lyy home. It was a long but really good weekend. I was so happy that I saw Lyy again and we did some fun things we've never done before together in Japan.
