treat yo'self.

I have been super busy lately x__x my last two midterms and a vocab test for Japanese are coming up next week and with my new job at the grocery store it makes it a bit hard to study but I think I can do it!

Anyways, today was a good day as well. I enjoyed work, but I'm nervous tomorrow because my co-worker said I will be working with a grumpy Japanese lady tomorrow x__x and the grumpy old guy again. Oh well.

Afterwards, my sister came to drop off some stuff from my mom and we had dinner together. It was nice talking to her, I really needed to talk to my sister and I didn't even know it.

Though I've been busy with work and school nonstop, I decided to do a little something for me. I ended up buying some inexpensive lingerie and swimsuit for myself. I am excited, and hope to shoot it in, once I workout more...lol.

Also, this wasn't planned but I'm going to a tattoo convention where Blink-182 will be performing! I am so excited because I'm pretty sure this might be their last gig since they broke up again but are having a guest guitarist.

It's a once in a lifetime thing, so I thought it was worth it. Only $44 and that's with other bands and the convention. Next paycheck, is all food and rent though. But every once in a while it's okay to treat yourself! I was really not going to buy the ticket since I got the new lingerie but I know I'd regret it if I didn't.

Things to look forward to:
  • end of midterms
  • new lingerie
  • possibly new shoots
  • possibly Valentine's Day plans
  • tattoo convention/Blink-182 concert

Honest, let's make this night last forever.

Yes, she knows.

I feel like school is going fast but time is going slow.

Just yesterday, I had my first midterm. It seriously seems like just the other day I was talking about how I was just starting classes and dropping and adding here and there. It feels weird, but good in some ways. Probably because I just want to graduate already.

Also, I started my new job last weekend. And although it wasn't easy, I still enjoyed it and look forward to working there again this weekend. Just don't like having to get up early on the weekends, I have to be at the busy stop no later than 6:50am but oh well. Other than that, I'm enjoying it so far.

Nothing exciting going on in my life, just been doing school and work.
It's not bad though, so I'm not complaining. I'm grateful for getting another job.

Well, here's some Phoenix and the Flower Girl.
This song always makes me feel nostalgic for Tokyo for some reason.

I adore her, spoil her,
I'll be her umbrella, shelter from the weather,
don't mind getting wet.

$3 Movie Night.

Yesterday was a good night. I met up with Tia after my job orientation and we went to go eat at Ruby's Diner, where we caught up on stuff and ate yummy burgers for dinner.

We wanted to watch Unbroken. Tia really only wanted to watch it because of Miyavi, but I wanted to watch it ever since I watched the trailer for it because I love historical movies, especially those based on true stories. So when she message me, I was more than happy to go.

The movie theater we went to was very small but cozy and the ticket's only costed $3! So we bought some sour candy at a candy shop near by and went on in. One of her friends was going to meet up with us, so we waited for him and went to see the movie.

The movie was pretty packed, lots of old people to be honest, which I thought was kinda cute. Some kids here and there as well, why would they take their kid to this kind of movie? I don't know. One of my pet peeves of going to the movies.

Anyways, I really enjoyed the movie. It was really sad, and uplifting at the same time. The ending was especially quite nice.

I noticed AHS's Dandy was in there. So weird to not see him be a psychopath lol. As for Miyavi, he did very well tbh. His character was pretty twisted and I think Miyavi did good on showing that. Kudos to him.

Afterwards, we sat outside the movie theater waiting for Tia's dad to pick us up. We were talking about Japan and how much we missed it. Tia's friend taught English to kids in Yokohama for a summer. It was nice to have someone to reminisce with.

It was a nice night, and when I got home I ended up talking to Hiromi for hours lol. We always talk about random things, and she always learns about new things with me haha. I think about our conversations and can't help but laugh.

She learned about stretched ears for the first time and learn new vocab like: brain fart, hit it and quit it/ fuck and chuck (thanks Lyy ;D) haha. I'm glad Hiromi is my roommate :]

phở-ck you.

I went with Jenny and caught up on several things over pho. It's been forever since I'd seen her and it was nice to just talk and catch up.

In other news, I'm officially sick as a dog. Luckily, since it's a three day weekend I've been sleeping and taking medicine non-stop so I am slowly getting better.

I have been super busy with school and work, and things are going to get even busier. I got another part-time job for the weekends at a Japanese grocery store. I am super excited, but hope it doesn't hinder my study time too much.

I haven't been enjoying life, just been working non-stop but hopefully it will pay off in the long run to help get me to where I want to be in the future.

Work, Class, Repeat.

I'm starting to get a tad sick, maybe it's the lack of protein in my diet (or lack of eating in general), busy schedule, and the fact that for some reason I'm either too cold or get too hot where I start to sweat in my sleep. Or, maybe it is all the above.

Anyways, I've been busy with work. Happy that I have been getting several hours, taking up shifts since many of my co-workers' schedules are mixed up.

I had a small break in between class and work where I decided to buy some food because I was feeling nauseous. I think it had to do with the lack of protein since I needed to get groceries. I had actually gone with Andy who was one of the guys that would come bother me at work.

It was pretty chill talking for a bit and what not. He's the good kind of weird.

In other news, I dropped my Issues K-12 education class. I'm not a textbook person after all. I ended up added a Korean lit class that seemed more interesting. I rather read books than textbooks any day. And I've been itching to read books lately.

As for my Teaching English Internationally class, I actually really enjoy it and is probably the main class I am excited for this quarter.

Pride and Prejudice.

Gifs from Fahrenheit 451

After a shitty night, I decided to watch a movie that has been on my watch-list for quite some time, Pride and Prejudice. I've always loved these different time era movies, something about the whole atmosphere. I enjoy the homes, the dresses, the music, the manner of speech, it's all lovely. For the longest time, I was obsessed with these sorts of movies.

After watching Pride and Prejudice, it was confirmed that I still love these kind of movies. And I enjoyed this movie so much, I want to read the book as well. Elizabeth reminded me of Jo from Little Women.

I know, these sorts of movie are romanticized a lot of the time, different time eras usually are, but i seriously can't help but love them so much. When I was little I would always read books like "Little House in the Woods", "Little House on the Prairie" and those "Dear American" diaries, I think I want to start getting back to reading tbh.

These type of movies mean so much to me.

Roommate Bonding Time Round Two.

Yesterday was the first time in forever I went out. To be honest, I was going to think of an excuse to not go because I was just feeling anti-social lol. But, Hiromi really wanted to go, and I thought it would be good to get to know my new roommates.

It ended up being a good decision.

We were getting ready to go to DTF, Downtown Fullerton. Last time I was there it wasn't fun at all. But I think you need to be with the right people.

We pre-gamed with some whiskey shots, 3 to be exact then we made our way to Fullerton.

We weren't going to do any clubbing, just go to a bar. The same bar I went to before with the fish bowl drinks. We got one to share and drank it all and talked a bit about ourselves. Main topic was boys since we were at a bar lol.

Trying to find out our types and if we were single or not.

My roommates looked at my type and said I liked the bad boys. Honestly, not sure how I feel about that. I've always had a thing for the bad boys I guess, now that I think about my past crushes like Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Spike and TVD's Damon and Enzo but real life? I don't know.

Anyways, turns out all of us but one were single and so that meant we were getting ready to have fun and be wingwomen haha.

We went to the bar next door where people started dancing and having a good time. We were al dancing together for a bit but it seriously got super hot and I didn't like how crowded it was and neither did Hiromi, so we decided to step outside for a bit.

We ended up walking around and just looking for a konbini where we could get some food. But American konbini's suck -.- we just talked and walked a lot of the time. We probably spent more time outside than in the bar lol. I spoke to Hiromi in Japanese to practice during this time as well.

While we were walking we ended up meeting some guys here and there.

There was one guy who was half Mexican and half Japanese who was helping his friend throw up in the trash can. She was really nice tho, and we exchanged contact info. Or maybe she gave me his number because she messaged me saying something about me messaging him would be good. I don't know -.- lol

This other guy ended up walking by with his friends and stopped and talked to me and Hiromi. He was really interested but I was like nah lol. But he was cute so after a bit of talking and some jabs to his ego I gave him my number lol.

Anyways, our roommates found us and we stopped by McDonalds for fries and headed home. We got home around 2:30pm and knocked out.

It was really fun, good decision to go out. Had a small hangover the next day, but it was still good lol.

Back to that school life.

I'm moving out to Irvine tomorrow. I thought I would be more excited, but I am actually dreading school. I'm honestly tired of reading textbooks, writing essays, and taking tests. Hopefully because this quarter I am taking education classes it will be more interesting rather than taking literature classes.

I am taking two education classes, one is "Issues in K-12" and the other is "Teaching English Internationally." I'm hoping the teaching English one will help me be get an idea of what to do for when teaching English in Japan.

I also need to study Japanese more seriously. This break was not as productive as I had hoped and it was so short. My little sister doesn't go back to school till the following week and I'm here like T___T because I got out later than her and I am starting earlier than her /sigh

Oh well, back to work and classes on Monday. At least I've been productive with working out.

Also looking forward to living with Hiromi :] Although, I haven't shared a room with someone since elementary school, I am glad it's with her and not someone else. Going to look for a bunk bed at Ikea tomorrow.

Actually have many things to do tomorrow, and I need to pack still x__x
