Music, Sushi, Izakaya, Types, Drunk Dialing // 名古屋

My favorite day of the Nagoya trip :]

Saturday me and Lyy were planning to meet up with Yashin at night. Lyy was planning on going to EYA's last concert since she heard the venue was a good one. I've already seen EYA 3 times so I really wasn't up for seeing them again, plus I didn't have the money for it. So I was just going to wait for Lyy outside.

Me and Lyy had went to Osu to go eat cheap taco rice :3 seriously love it so much, it's the best taco rice I've ever had. Shortly after we came across soft cream and donuts *__* that was also amazing, me and Lyy shared it since we didn't think we could finish one on our own. But, it was surprisingly light~

Afterwards, we walked around and came across and arcade. Me and Lyy had already decided we wanted to take purikura in Nagoya so we went and took out first Nagoya purikura ever.

It was eventually time for the EYA live so we walked to the venue. Everything in Nagoya is so close! We ended up walking everywhere instead of taking the train which saved us quite a bit on transportation ^-^

By the time we got to the venue, there was a huge queue. Me and Lyy stayed on the side and decided to smoke a bit. There was nothing around the venue so Lyy was worried what I would do for the next 2 hours. I thought I could just chill outside and watch the PTP live stream of their last concert at Zepp Tokyo T__T (couldn't get tickets). But it was pretty cold so I wondered if I could stand being outside for so long.

After much contemplating, last minute (literally 5 minutes before the live lol) I decided to just go into the live house since two hours in the cold would suck. Lyy even helped pay for my ticket, and we went inside.

The venue was seriously packed and it was a big venue to begin with (funny how everyone only cares when the band is disbanding). Me and Lyy decided to be in the back by the stairs. It was nice to see EYA perform one last time but as it got more towards the end I wasn't feeling too well and left before the encore.

I ended up chillin' outside and waiting for them to finish so Lyy could come. I think it was another 30 minutes to an hour before they finished though. Lyy said they made thank you speeches.

Lyy was hoping to see one of the band members named Shoya so we decided to wait a bit and see if they would come out. We still had time before meeting Yashin, and had nothing better to do anyways.

There were some cute guys outside the live house which you could tell were Ryohei's friends since they all had bikes and were wearing more street style clothes. Lyy overheard them saying we were cute apparently LOL I never pay attention to this stuff -__-

We waited quite a bit, and it was eventually time to meet Yashin so we ended up just leaving. Lyy wasn't really bummed though so it was all good.

We were a bit late to meet Yashin so I apologized. We asked to meet at Sakae station exit one. He was waiting there with his co-worker, Hiro.

They asked if we were hungry and by this time me and Lyy were starving so they asked us what we wanted to eat and we said sushi :D haha. They remembered of this sushi izakaya in Sakae and took us there.

I noticed when we were walking to the izakaya many people were staring. I think it is because Yashin looks intimidating and Hiro is so tall O__O he looked around 182 cm probably a bit taller.

By he time we got to the izakaya me and Lyy ordered our drinks and went to the bathroom. So when we came back Yashin and Hiro had ordered the food.

It was pretty chill, we talked about different things, food, CA, Australia, etc. Both Hiro and Yashin really want to go to California, they like the music, culture, etc. And apparently Yashin travels a lot of went to different parts of Australia that even Lyy hadn't gone to lol.

We also talked about tattoos and since Yashin knows I love tattoos he decided to show me his big piece was really nice. I loved the lines of it so much.

Even though, Hiro didn't know any English and Yashin knows very, very little, and Lyy only knows simple Japanese but it was still really fun haha. I would just translate for Lyy the times she didn't understand.

Yashin and Hiro got drunk pretty quickly, lol. Yashin was drinking at an end of the year party before so it didn't take too long for him to get drunk and Hiro is just weak with alcohol LOL.

Since Yashin is Hiro's senior at work he would be totally picking on Hiro. I felt so bad for him haha but it was funny at times. He had him eat a shit load of wasabi, red pepper, etc. He even smoked red pepper, we all did and in the end we all choked on it LOL. Yashin made a wasabi joint for Hiro. He smoked it, and it wasn't bad apparently lol.

Yashin had asked us what we were doing before and we said that we went to a live. He was like "live??" because last time we were in Nagoya we went to another live because Lyy wanted to see Deathgaze xD

He asked where and we told him the live house. He said that his friend was having a live but he didn't know the name of the band so he showed us a picture and sure enough it was Ryohei.

I had known that Yashin knew Ryohei but I didn't know they were good friends. Oh, what a small world~ especially Nagoya lol.

Lyy took out the flyer from the live and Yashin started busting up laughing when he saw Ryohei's v-kei look haha me and Lyy laughed so hard at his reaction. He ended up taking a picture of the flyer with my boobs and sending it to Ryohei lol da fuq. These Japanese and their boobs -.- lol

He also ended up showing us a cute picture of Ryohei smiling haha me and Lyy told Yashin that Ryohei was かっこいい. Yashin asked Lyy if Ryohei was her favorite in the band and she said no since all the girls like him haha and that she liked Shoya.

Then Yashin began to ask what kind of guys were my type celebrity wise, so I told him Yusuke Kubozuka, Kengo Kora, and Kamenashi Kazuya haha, they aren't really my type but I just enjoy looking at their faces.

I told him that my real type was Japanese guys with tattoos like rockers/skaters, etc. I showed him Rxyxo from Coldrain, and Yashin tried to look like him hahaha.

Lyy ended up showing them her ideal type which was AK from lynch. they were all like "かっこいい" because Lyy showed them a cool picture of AK playing the guitar. Every guy always says this when she shows them that picture haha. She told him that AK is Ryohei's friend.

Yashin being drunk asked if Lyy really liked AK and if would have sex with him. Lyy was thrown off by the question haha and then Yashin said he would call Ryohei right now.

Me and Lyy looked at each other like WTF? We were confused on why he was calling him but, luckily Ryohei didn't answer. Seriously random lol

We then got onto the topic of sexual stuff. Me and Lyy learned a bit of new Japanese vocabulary and Yashin and Hiro learned some new English vocab as well haha.

☓ ☓ ☓

After that, we decided to go clubbing. Lyy hates clubbing but Yashin and Hiro really wanted to go. I promised Lyy I wouldn't dance since I wasn't in a dancing mood and we would just chill so that's what we did.

The place he took us was more of a lounge that a club to me, so we just chilled and met some of Yashin's friends. A pretty half brazilian/half Japanese model and her boyfriend who is also from Australia.

We stayed there for about an hour or so but I was getting tired so Yashin and Hiro took us back to our hotel. We said bye to Yashin and Hiro and said we would hang out again and then we went up to our room.

It was a long day, but it was so much. I really liked hanging out with Yashin and Hiro they are seriously so fun and entertaining. Yashin told me the next time I am in Nagoya he wants to hang out again, I definitely will.

Not So Exciting First Day // 名古屋

I met with Lyy Thursday night in Ikebukuro to catch the last bus to Nagoya.

We decided to meet at Edge since that's the easiest place, unfortunately Lyy was a bit late and I didn't notice that outside of Edge there were a shit load of guys. I got asked to take a picture for a group of people, which was extremely uncomfortable because then one of the guys (who was drunk) kept telling me I was cute.

Then a little after that a group of guys came out and tried to nanpa. They thought I was half and asked if I wanted to go drink with them LOL. They were also drunk and I couldn't understand their Japanese so I just kindly rejected the offer lol.

Shortly after, Lyy came! I was so happy to see her. I had been sick with food poisoning and was only just starting to feel better so we just went to the conbini to get vegetable onigiri before we went on the bus.

Riding the night bus to Nagoya was super chill, it wasn't bad at all and time went by extremely fast. By the time we arrived to Nagoya it was 6am. We walked to Komeda's to wait for it to open.

I was really hungry but still was feeling nauseous from the food poisoning to by the time we were able to eat, I couldn't eat much :[ but it was still nice to have some food in my stomach!

We couldn't check into the hotel till 3pm though! Me and Lyy were really tired since we didn't sleep much on the bus.

We ended up going to Starbucks in Sakae and just chillin' there. I ended up even taking a few naps while Lyy played on her phone.

It became strangely crowded around lunch time though. I felt weird sleeping and was talking to Lyy. We noticed that people were eating straight up meals at Starbucks and treating it like a sit-in restaurant O__O

This doesn't happen in America, and Lyy said the same with Singapore so we were a bit weirded out lol. Me and Lyy chatted a bit and ended up leaving a bit early to see if we could try to check in.

Sadly we weren't able to check in till exactly 3pm -___- so lame. But when we finally did check in we ended up talking and talking and not even sleeping till later lol. But when we did fall asleep, we stayed asleep till the next day.

Oh! One exciting thing that did happen was that it started to snow a bit in Nagoya that morning :3

My Christmas with Lyy in Japan :]

This Christmas was probably my favorite Christmas. Though I had to work, Lyy came to my work and waited for me to get off so we can go countdown together to Christmas day. She does this with her family and I do this with mine.

I really wanted to get chicken and a Christmas cake since I know this is how Japanese celebrate their Christmas LOL. Luckily at work, a customer brought chicken for everyone to eat :D and then after I got off work me and Lyy went to Hiyoshi to go buy a cake.

We were planning on getting a really small one from the conbini and light candles and make a wish. But right outside Hiyoshi station there were people selling Christmas cake. There was a cheesecake for 2500 yen. I love cheesecake and Lyy wanted it as well so we got it. It actually ended up being on 1500 yen, probably because it was so close to Christmas, 5 minutes!

Me and Lyy hurried to buy candles to make it in time but we didn't -__- LOL and turns out there was candles already in the box, I was so bummed lol.

We went to Keio's Hiyoshi campus and sat on the side to light the candles and what not. But it was so windy they kept blowing out LOL. Me and Lyy just kept laughing and finally we lit them and took pics of it and made a wish!

We decided we would eat the whole cake hahaha. It was so good! But so hard to eat O__O Lyy then said we had to eat all of it or else our wish wouldn't come true so we forced ourself to eat it haha. It was so much fun, and so nice. We got to eat cake under the stars which you saw so many.

I even saw a shooting star and made a wish <3 I swear it reminded me of back home, it was nice.

After much time, we finished the cake. I felt so huge and swear I wanted to puke haha. But we were craving something salty since we ate the cake and decided to go eat ramen :D

The ramen was so good, we had one to share since we knew we couldn't finish one ourselves haha. It seriously keep laughing when thinking back on it because it was so much fun. I seriously really loved it.

Afterwards, since we were still stuff we decided to walk to Tsunashima to go by the river. It was a 30 minute walk to the river but it was nice to walk off our food and just chill and talk. Eventually we were getting sleepy, since it was 2AM so we walked back again and went to my place and knocked out.

The next day, I had class. I woke up super late and was actually 30 minutes late to class but luckily my teacher was having technical difficulties so I didn't miss a thing.

I didn't want to go home after class so I asked Lyy if she wanted to hang out afterwards. She also wanted to so she came with me to school and waited for me to get out of class.

Me and Lyy wanted to just walk around so we decided to walk to Tokyo Tower since it is so close to my school, or looked like it. And it actually was O__O it was a 10 minute walk. It was pretty nice, it was my first time being there even though it's so close to campus.

I took the classic pictures and then there was Christmas illumination so I took pictures of that as well. Lyy would joke around and say it's definitely not Nabana no Sato lol.

Afterwards we went to the park next to the Tokyo Tower and then decided to walk to Hamamatsucho to look for something to eat.

Me and Lyy ate gyu-don and afterwards went to Starbucks and just talked about out upcoming trip to Nagoya. It was so nice and chill, I seriously had so much fun.

It seriously wasn't a big deal of what we did but usually on Christmas I just eat, countdown with family, and go to sleep. So it was night to be hanging out with Lyy and doing the whole Christmas cake thing I always wanted to do.

Plus, ramen, river, Tokyo Tower, and shootings stars?
Not to mention spending it with Lyy.
Best Christmas ever.

Baking Goods with Ah Young.

Last night Ah Young came to my place to bake. She doesn't have an oven and my microwave can turn into one so she asked if she could use it.

We first went to go eat ramen and then we went grocery shopping. Baking in Japan is expensive though, Ah Young says usually baking supplies in America is $10 but she spent a whopping $40 for all the baking ingredients D:

It was nice chillin' with her. I talked to her and kept her company while she was cooking.

We talked about what has been going on with us. We both have non-existent love lives and she says she doesn't even have a social life lol. We both have been glued to our laptops watching stuff on Netflix lol.

It's nice to hang out with her and talk about this stuff. I can relate with Ah Young with quite a bit. She is going to Korea for break, her parents are visiting. She thinks it will be nice to get a break from Japan.

I really hope to visit Korea so I told her to tell me all about it when she comes back :]

It was also really fun watching her bake, it reminded me of when my little sister would bake. She would always use me as the tester for her baking experiments -__- lol. But I was just keeping Ah Young company. She ended up making vanilla brownies and some brown sugar cookies.

The vanilla brownies were amazing. I seriously ate so much, I felt so fat afterwards haha. But me and Ah Young said it's the holidays so one day wouldn't kill us.

Ah Young only lives a stop away from Hiyoshi but it's a 28 minute walk from the station and she didn't want to miss the last train. She had quite a few stuff to carry so I helped her carry the stuff to the station.

The last train was at 11:50 so we ran to the station and it sucked even more because it was up hill LOL. We managed to get there with 4 minutes to spare but saw that there was no last train -__- Ah Young said that this was the second time this thing happened to her.

I seriously was just laughing, because it felt like something from a drama or something. She withdrew money from the bank and was planning on walking home but I told her I'd walk her a bit.

I was glad she didn't rush to the station on her own, it would have sucked. So I walked her a bit in her direction which was actually nice. I missed just going out for a walk at night. And since Japan is so safe you can do this.

After a walked her a bit we ended up parting ways, she said next time she'll make mac n' cheese :D

I was so happy walking back, even though it was cold it felt good. I was listening to music, just walking down the road. And since it was later at night there was no one out. I really liked this. I wanted to stay out with someone and just chill but I left my pocket wifi at home and just had my cellphone -.-

Either way, I'm pretty sure most people would think I'm crazy to want to just stay out and night for no reason LOL. Oh well, maybe next time!

Taketo's Birthday & Holiday Plans.

Yesterday was Taketo's birthday party. And it was pretty fun, but me and Lili came later. We drank as much as we could to get our money's worth. I was the good kind of drunk, just a bit tipsy. Lili ended up getting wasted though O__O lol

She's a fun drunk though, always genki and shit haha. She wanted to go clubbing really bad though but Taketo decided to go karaoke instead. So we chilled at the karaoke place.

Even with alcohol I still tend to be a tad awkward in social situations. Didn't help that I wasn't feeling too well so I went to the toilet and there was this guy that was really fucked up. I ended up helping him and getting him water and stuff.

Turns out it was one of Taketo's good friends. I was mostly helping him to be honest, I felt so bad for him.

After a while we ended up leaving the karaoke but already missed the last train. Lili really wanted to go clubbing really bad lol. But no one was up for it. The 3 guys are in sports clubs at Keio and had to go to practice in the morning. Since the 3 of us were going back to Hiyoshi and Lili needed to go somewhere else we parted ways.

I ended up being with Hiroshi and the other guys (forgot his name ><) and we went to Denny's. Which, let me tell you is nothing like the one in America lol. But we had this tasty curry food and Hiroshi just slept.

I talked to the other guy a bit and then eventually I fell asleep for a bit too. Dennis and some other guys came, and then we left to go on the first train.

☓ ☓ ☓

Christmas is just around the corner, and just as many foreigners say you really can't tell it's Christmas. Sadly, I have to work but I will be spending my Christmas with Lyy ^-^

Something chill sounds nice. And we will be going to Nagoya this weekend. I am very excited to be going out of Tokyo for a bit again and just chillin' with Lyy in our favorite place.

I really want to go to Komeda's again and get some cheap taco rice! That place has the best taco rice so far. And I want pizza *__* <3 so many fun things to do. We will also probably be meeting Yashin, so that will also be fun ^^

Lyy will be leaving to Singapore soon :[ we need to make the most of our time together ><

Time is going by so fast, seriously can't believe how much time has passed while I've been in Japan. I've been in Japan for 5 months already but it doesn't even feel like it, still feels like 3 or something haha.

I still feel like there's still a lot more time left though, so I am not worried :]

渋谷パーティー

Went partying in Shibuya on Tuesday night. I was originally going with a big group of international friends since many of the Europeans are already going back home, but they ended up wanting to go to another event on Saturday -__- so it was just me and Lili. But we ran into Keith with him and 2 of his friends.

We went to the usual, Harlem. Lili really loves this club since she always finds guys that are her type lol. I was fine going since I ended up drinking quite a bit. So of course I was genki the whole time. As usual, Lili was talking to guys, making connections, etc. etc. I was dancing with Keith and occasionally smoking. Sometimes I danced with Lili as well.

We ended up running into Takahiro and Taiga. By this time I was a bit tipsy lol. But we were happy to see them and they were as well. Apparently Takahiro was really drunk and kept telling Lili he loved her LOL. I mostly stayed with Takahiro and Taiga. Taiga kept buying me drinks but I only remember 2 O__O I ended up getting a bit too tipsy. This hasn't happened in a while -__-

Probably because I didn't eat before, I had eaten pizza with Lyy and had a crepe but that was around 4pm and it was 12am when we were clubbing. Soo yup. But it wasn't bad, Lili said I was mostly just dancing and having a good time, I had like 6 more drinks after the first 2 drinks -__-

The problem with me, is when I am drunk I seem totally fine and coherent and then the next second I end up getting sleepy and knocking out. Which ended up happening lol. Taiga was taking care of me the whole night along with Lili. I ended up sleeping at a table on the side where another drunk guy was also passed out. Lili said he was really cute and he ended up putting his hand on my head and was sleeping across from me, she said we looked like a couple and she wanted to take a picture LOL.

But anyways, the point was I was really sleepy and I wouldn't wake up so they had to help carry me out of the club once it was time to go home. Luckily, Taiga and Takahiro helped Lili, I feel so bad lol.

She said it was fine though, and it wasn't bad and it was more entertaining haha. Apparently Taiga kept apologizing to Lili for giving me too much to drink but she kept telling him it was okay.

They ended up taking us home where I just slept till 5pm O__O Haha it was such as crazy night, but it was one of those fun ones haha. Lili also had lots of fun. Saturday is another party, but this is Taketo's birthday party. We might do something afterwards but not sure yet.

Gotta love those randomly fucked up nights haha, every once in a while it is 大丈夫 lol.

27.

Lyy's belated birthday present which was inspired from out trip to Nagoya.
I love it so much, and it was definitely worth the wait! Thank you so much Lyy, I really love it <3

December has been a pretty quiet month, and I am enjoying it quite a bit.
Been staying in most of the time, listening to music, watching movies, talking to old friends.

And the days I do go out with friends, it's something chill like going to eat, going to a cafe, walking around Shibuya or Harajuku, smoking, just chilling. I love this so much.

The only thing not so fun about December is that since it's getting close to the end of the semester, papers are piling up. Flashbacks of UCI all over again. It's not too bad though, just hope I won't procrastinate so much.

Planning another trip to Nagoya for winter break with Lyy. Yes, I love this place that much. This time, taking the bus though to save money. And visit all the places we didn't have time for last time.

Now for sure it's getting cold, and winter clothes are a must. Going to meet up with Lyy after my class on Monday to go shopping.

Recently, been getting that detached feeling again like I did in Irvine. But as always, alone time and music helps.

She said "Are you crazy? You don't even know me,"
I said "I know but I'd like to change that soon hopefully"

Maria's Birthday Party!

Yesterday was Maria's birthday celebration at the bar we work at. I was pretty excited to work that night since it was her birthday :]

I had ran into one of our friends Megumi on the way coming in actually. Alex from KBBQ night was already there, it was a pleasant surprise!

It started out chill, and I was talking to Alex and this one new customer. Then some more people came, and I actually met Takao again which was this guy I had met way back when, at the Kamakura beach trip I went with Hopy. It was nice to talk to him again.

I met some more of Maria's friends as they kept gradually coming in. Takao had asked if I knew this one guy names Chris but I told him I didn't. He said he is really fun and was coming later. Sure enough, he came later and the bar got more lively. And boy, can they drink O__O LOL but they were definitely having a good time haha.

All of Maria's friends were super nice. I was such an awkward penguin -.- I suck with big crowds of people and one of my co-workers Yoshi was telling me this too that sometimes I just talk and talk and am super friendly and other times I'm like dead silent and just standing there LOL. Personality fail.

It was lots of fun though :D and Alex got super drunk and was super cute haha. She was saying how she was going to be in Korea in March and I was telling her that me and my roommate were planning on going to Korea then as well.

She got super excited and said that she would show me around and we would have a good time, and party it up, and show me how awesome Korea is. We told Maria she had to come, but Maria isn't sure because of work :[ ugh, but it would be so much fun.

I am super excited for March and really want to plan my trip to Korea seriously.

Anyways, time ended up going by really fast! I guess that happens when you're having fun :] Megumi asked me what time I was working till, and I told her 11:30pm and she told me it was already time and I thought "oh shit, the last train!"

I thought about staying, but I really didn't want to pull an all-nighter because I had a class field trip I needed to go to around 12pm ish so I knew I wouldn't be able to get up for that if I stayed out. I ended up not going anyways though so I am kinda bummed I didn't just stay -.-

But it was still lots of fun and I was so glad to be there <3
誕生日おめでとうMaria!

Alex being a cutie ;D

Me and Maria <3

Hello December!

Can't believe it's already December,
time seems like it's going so fast, yet not fast enough.
Want to return hurry up and graduate so I can return to Japan.
But of course, it will not be Tokyo :]

I was going to start December by going to an awesome car show,
ended up not going due to me being sick.

I think if I didn't go to work it would have been okay,
I was tempted to call in sick but I felt bad so I didn't.
but I'm happy I did go because my boss ended up surprising
me with a birthday cake.

It was really a pleasant surprise.
And Maria was there too :]

I had recently decided I was going to dye
 my hair red again.

But after googling the dye I usually use,
I found it to be $40 if I were to get it on Amazon Japan.
And if I got it on ebay, the shipping would be expensive.
T____T

I should accept the sad fact that I am not meant to have
red hair in Japan, but I seriously can't.

I probably won't dye it because of money as well.
/sigh it's just so depressing.
No tatts, no red hair, the only thing I can do is stretch my ears.
which I am at a 0g now :] but still miss my tatts/hair.

And of course, with a new month comes many new things.
A recent blast from the past occurred.
Funny how people can stir so many emotions in you
after how many years of not seeing or talking to them?

They tell me I seem like a different person.
And I love hearing this.
I was a different person in high school,
and I am happy I am slowly becoming who I want to be.

Still, this blast from the past is tripping me out.
Don't know how to take it yet.
Oh, life.
